Tansui (潭翠) is a character who appears in The Shore at Twilight, The Sky at Daybreak. He serves as Taiki's bodyguard.
After Gyousou and Taiki's disappearances, Risai learns that Tansui had left Taiki under the care of his subordinates, when Seirai had called Tansui away for an unspecified reason. However, when Asen later attempted to assassinate Taiki, the kirin had been alone, raising suspicions regarding the loyalties of Tansui or his subordinates.
