The Taiho (太保) serves as the Minister of the Right (右大臣). Translated as Grand Guardian by Tokyopop. Not to be confused with Taiho, the title of the kirin.
The Taiho's role in a kingdom is to serve as one of the ruler's three advisors and is responsible for the monarch's education. However, Taiho does not possess any political power.
