Spirited away (神隠し, Kamikakushi) is a Japanese term used to express unexplained disappearances of people. The term can describe situations where the person returns, as well as cases where the person does not.
The term is used in The Demonic Child by townfolk to describe the disappearance and return of Kaname Takasato when he was ten-years-old.
