Shouwa is a woman in her 40s. She is described as having plump cheeks and is said to be a pleasant person. Shouwa worked in the Zui Province Ministry of Heaven before being assigned by Gyousou to serve as a lady-in-waiting to Taiki. She was placed in a position where she was made to carry out menial tasks as a result of not pledging allegiance to Asen. Shouwa regains her position as lady-in-waiting after meeting Taiki six years later.
