Reiken Gate (令乾門)[1], also known as Northwest Gate of Order, is located on the northwest edge of the Yellow Sea in the kingdom of Kyou. In the novels, it is called Gate of Strength (令乾門).

The Reiken Gate opens at spring equinox for people to who seek the throne of the the kingdom that is without King. The gate itself is enormous and consists of two storeys. The first is hewn completely from a single slab of rock, with red lacquer doors set upon it. The second storey is made of vermillion columns under green tiled roofs with a small gate at its centre labelled "Reiken Gate". Carved on the red doors of the gate is a tenhaku, the sacred beast that guards the Reiken Gate.[2]
