Hitsu-ou (必王, the Proof-King[1]) is a former king of Hou during the kingdom's twelfth or thirteenth dynasty. A sankyaku who arrived in the kingdom during his reign was said to have carved away the side of a mountain and built a temple and began spreading the teachings of Buddhism.
