Bashi (馬子) is a live-in servant at Shushou's household in charge of the stables.[1] After the death of previous ruler of Kyou, Bashi had lost everything except the clothes on his back and his three children. He found work in the Sou household, while his children were split up into different estates and retail establishments as live-in servants.[2]
Before Shushou escapes from her family home on a moukyoku to go on shouzan, she takes care to leave a note explaining her actions and an order not to punish Bashi.
